Overview
NaaS is an important step in the evolution of IT and networking infrastructure because it allows enterprises to:

- Improves security: Provides tighter synergies between the network and network security when there is a need for on-premise as well as cloud-based protection which can be supplied in a single package.
- Visibility: Buyers are provided the opportunity to view network performance via NaaS tools including analytics to view performance over time.
- Scalability: Inherently, NaaS is more scalable when compared to conventional hardware-based networks. Users of NaaS services simply purchase extra capacity rather than acquiring, installing, configuring, securing, and operating new equipment.
The goal of this award is to provide Edge Members and Participants with NaaS services that allow these institutions to focus on cultivating and promoting capabilities and skills that have a focus on long-term goals that impact each institution and its customers.
